with his debut release on co-owned smallville label stefan marx presents an exclusive poster collection coated inside a gatefold 12inch cover sleeve. giving the smallville shop and label a visual face since the very beginning stefan marx created hundreds of posters and partyflyers, painted the shopwindows regularly and set up every single record cover. now its the time for himself to release an extraordinary smallville issue in 12inch format. three posters (each has the size of 90 cm x 60 cm) including a first appearance of his band project the dead sea (aka stefan marx, rvds, lawrence and birte löschenkohl). smallville 25 is a collaboration with nieves, the zürich based publishing house of stefan marx and some all-time favorite contributors such as kim gordon, mike mills, mark gonzales and wesley willis. stefan is working with nieves since 2004, publishing books and zines on regular basis. the smallville release is dedicated to ariel pinks haunted graffiti, probably the best band in the world. already played by sven väth, seth troxler. joris voorn, tiefschwarz, reboot... the london resident ross evana already excelled as dj at pacha nyc, at ministry of sound london or in the we love space series in ibiza. his track >thrilla in manila< first takes its time to build up before it sets a tremendously powerful exclamation mark on the dancefloor with its tropical-hypnotic percussions. with its second track, the ninth edition of cocoons 10 inch -series leads us to the land of the midnight sun. the two stockholm-born cousins alex caytas and aleks patz have started their musical collaboration only in 2007 but can already look back on a hand full of very good produced releases for the stuttgart-based label parquet recordings and the italian label caremella, as well as on remixes for martin dawson/king roc and voltique. >blue sea< shows the duos affinity to the energetic deep house techno of the nineties: with its organ sound, blues vocals and a highly infectous bass line, this track could almost pass as a modern and uncluttered version of st. germain, being predestined for warm summer nights. this is how techno sounds in 2011.

cocoonclub-resident skai and label scenery darling m.in acclaimed for his work on labels like loco dices desolat and off join the circus records family with the release of their mediterranean flavoured ultima tromba ep. the release sets off a new era reviving the label itself in cooperation with darmstadt based club magenta, skais home for his monthly event re:fresh. with a stunning original gaining early support from the likes of alex flatner and mark reeve the ep is backed with three remixes. whilst dragosh serves us with a reduced version of the original in his hailed desolat style, remercs approach finalises with a tech-house bomb in the way his recent productions on labels such as trapez or off jar the dancefloors. label-head mikel closes the package with an accentuated make-over of the original version representing the house heads on this ep.
